NO TURNING BACK
““The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” — John 1:29 (KJV)”
Choosing to follow Jesus is the best decision you can ever make. Keep your eyes on Him and do not turn back when following Him becomes difficult.
When John the Baptist saw Jesus, he joyfully pointed Him out and said, “Behold the Lamb of God!” John wanted everyone to know that Jesus is the promised Saviour who came to take away the sin of the world. He was completely sure about who Jesus was, so he boldly told others that Jesus is the Son of God.
Following Jesus begins with believing in Him, but it also means choosing His way every day. At school, at home, on the playground, and online, you may be tempted to copy wrong behaviour so that others will accept you. Friends may laugh because you tell the truth, refuse to cheat, pray, or obey your parents. At such moments, remember your decision: you belong to Jesus, and there is no turning back.
Imagine starting a journey toward a beautiful destination and then turning around because the road becomes a little difficult. You would miss the wonderful place ahead! In the same way, do not allow fear, pressure, mistakes, or distractions to pull you away from Christ. If you stumble, speak honestly to Jesus, receive His forgiveness, and continue following Him.
Keep your eyes on Jesus by reading the Bible, praying, obeying His Word, and spending time with people who encourage you to do what is right. Like John the Baptist, you can also point others to Jesus through your words, kindness, courage, and good example. Decide today: “Jesus is my Saviour, and I will follow Him all my life!”
I belong to Jesus! My eyes are fixed on Him, my heart is strong in His truth, and my steps will not turn backward. By God’s grace, I will follow Christ faithfully and shine His light wherever I go! In Jesus name Amen
