THE SECRET OF GOD BUILDS WISDOM
“"For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding." — Proverbs 2:6 (KJV)”
True wisdom is not merely the product of education or experience; it is imparted by God through His Word and fellowship with Him. When God's truth is established within a person, it produces sound judgment, spiritual discernment, and fruitful decisions.
Wisdom is one of the greatest treasures a person can possess, yet the wisdom that transforms life does not originate from human intelligence. Proverbs 2:6 declares that the Lord gives wisdom and that knowledge and understanding proceed from His mouth. Therefore, divine wisdom is received by listening to God, embracing His Word, and allowing the Holy Spirit to shape our thinking.
The secret of God in a person is the divine truth and counsel He reveals through an intimate relationship with Him. This is not hidden knowledge reserved for a privileged few; it is the spiritual understanding God grants to those who reverence Him, seek Him sincerely, and submit to His Word. As His truth takes root in the heart, it becomes an inner compass that guides conduct, relationships, leadership, finances, ministry, and every important decision.
Human knowledge can provide information, but God's wisdom teaches us how to apply truth correctly. Knowledge may reveal what is possible, while divine wisdom shows what is right, timely, and pleasing to God. This is why intelligence without godly wisdom can still lead to pride, compromise, and costly mistakes. A wise person does not merely ask, “What can I do?” but also, “What is God saying, and what will honour Him?”
To grow in wisdom, make room for God's voice. Study the Scriptures prayerfully, meditate on them consistently, receive godly counsel, and obey what God has already shown you. Wisdom grows where obedience is practised. Every act of submission to divine truth strengthens discernment and prepares you to handle greater responsibilities.
Do not face today's decisions with natural reasoning alone. Ask the Lord for wisdom and remain attentive to His written Word. When the secret of God—His truth, counsel, and perspective—dwells richly within you, confusion gives way to clarity, impulsiveness gives way to sound judgment, and your life becomes a testimony of His wisdom.
I declare that the wisdom of God is at work in me. My mind is illuminated by His Word, my decisions are governed by divine understanding, and my steps are ordered in truth. Confusion, error, and costly mistakes will not dominate my life. I will lead wisely, act courageously, and produce excellent results to the glory of God, in Jesus' name. Amen!
